California Play Fiber is carefully engineered to provide a stable and slip resistant surface to ensure all children have the opportunity to play.

Engineered Wood Fiber is less expensive than other safety surfacing materials and provides a very high level of cushioning (impact absorption).

California Play Fiber, when installed properly, meets the requirements of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission guidelines for playground surfaces. ASTM F 1292-04. Severe injuries can be reduced by using a resilient surface.

Our Play Fiber is also in compliance with the American Disability Act of 1990, to make all types of play activity in new and redone play areas safe and easily accessible to everyone.

Engineered Wood Fiber (EWF), has proven to be cohesive enough to permit the use of wheelchairs and crutches and meets ASTM F 1951-99, while at the same time as being resilient enough to provide cushioning that protects children in case of falls.

California Play Fiber is in compliance with both ASTM F 1292-04 for impact absorption and ASTM F 1951-99, The American Disability Act of 1990.
